The City of Casper has approximately 83,000 trees covering just 3.64% of the City. From now until the fall of 2028, the Branch Across Casper Initiative seeks to increase and improve the tree canopy in the designated disadvantaged communities by removing up to 300 high-risk trees, improving maintenance of existing trees, planting & maintaining up to 1,300 new trees, as well as provide training and education to residents in proper tree planting and maintenance through community events.
