How to Register
All passengers must register before riding ASSIST. Please complete one of the three ways to register below.
- Register online by clicking here.
- Come into Casper Area Transit, located at 1715 East 4th Street, and fill out an ASSIST Registration Form.
- To register, call at least one week in advance.
Reservations for Service
Reservations for service are accepted by calling (307) 235-8273. We encourage booking rides at least one week in advance. Rides are booked on a first-come first-served basis.
Same day service is not provided. Reservations can be made up to four weeks in advance.
One-Way Fares
Attention Credit Card Users
The City of Casper is no longer absorbing credit card fees. When using a credit card you will be charged 3.75% or a minimum of $2.50, whichever is greater, this is charged by the credit card processor, not the City of Casper.

*Children 12 and under must be accompanied by an adult traveling to the same destination.
ASSIST encourages rides that can be purchased at the Casper Area Transit office at 1715 East 4th Street, WY 82601. Office hours are Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Cancellations
Passengers are required to call and cancel their trip a minimum of one hour in advance.
Failure to do so may result in a no-show. Three or more no shows will result in the suspension of service.
On Time Performance
Due to the very specialized door-to-door service ASSIST provides, the drive is considered on time if the bus arrives within 15 minutes of the scheduled pick-up time. It is the passenger's responsibility to be ready to board when the bus arrives. The driver will wait three minutes and then depart for the next scheduled passenger.
ADA Complementary Paratransit Service
The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires public transit agencies that provide fixed-route service to provide complementary paratransit service to people with disabilities who cannot use the fixed-route bus or rail service because of a disability. Holiday Closures
ASSIST does not provide service on the following holidays:
- New Year's Day - Wednesday, January 1st, 2025
- Memorial Day - Monday, May 26th, 2025
- Independence Day - Friday, July 4th, 2025
- Labor Day - Monday, September 1st, 2025
- Thanksgiving Day - Thursday, November 27th, 2025
- Christmas Day - Thursday, December 25th, 2025
ASSIST will provide limited service hours from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for medical appointments and for ADA Complementary Paratransit service on the following holidays:
- Martin Luther King Jr. Day - Monday, January 20th, 2025
- Presidents' Day - Monday, February 17th, 2025
- Columbus Day - Monday, October 13th, 2025
- Veteran's Day - Tuesday, November 11th, 2025
- Day after Thanksgiving - Friday, November 28th, 2025
- Christmas Eve – Wednesday, December 24th, 2025
- New Year’s Eve – Wednesday, December 31st, 2025
