Trees for Trash 2019

Posted on 05/07/2019
Keep Casper Beautiful and David Street Station will be hosting the second annual Trees for Trash event at David Street Station from 11 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 11th .

Gather together your friends and family and spend the morning collecting litter from neighborhoods, walking trails, parks, or alleyways.  Up to 5 trash bags (household size or smaller) may be brought to David Street Station to exchange for a free sapling.  Trees are limited to the first 100 households, while supplies last.  Tires, appliances, furniture, household hazardous waste, and electronics will not be accepted.

Four different varieties of trees will be available so that residents may pick the right tree for their location.  Arborists from the City of Casper and Johnny Appleseed will be on hand to help determine which type of tree will work best for the specific space and location.  Trees choices include American plum, amur maple, European mountain ash, and honey locust.

The event is sponsored by Johnny Appleseed, Keep Casper Beautiful, and David Street Station.  More information can be found at
