Lake McKenzie Dog Park

The fenced in dog park features a double gated entry at both parking lots, dog drinking fountains, hoses to clean mud off dogs, benches, and a special swimming area in the lake.
Hours: The park is open from 6 a.m. to dark. The park is not lighted.
Location: 1691 Bryan Stock Trail (north of I-25).

Morad Park Off Leash Area
Morad Park is a natural area. The park is bordered by the North Platte River on the north. The park features the Platte River Trail, benches, a picnic table, a porta-john, and river access. The park is not fenced-in and there are no gates along the pathway or for the street entrance. Dogs must be leashed outside the park and signs along the pathway let owners know the boundaries.

ETIQUETTE FOR BOTH PARKS
- Scoop the Poop! Pick up and properly dispose of your dog's waste. There are bags and poop stations in both parks. Pet owners are required by city ordinance to pick up after their pet. Poop is not picked up by the parks department.
- Keep your dog from jumping on or interfering with other people and their dogs.
- Off-leash does not mean out of control. Aggressive dogs should be removed immediately.
- Guests should remain with their pets, keeping them within view and under verbal control.
- Dogs must have up-to-date vaccinations and dog license.
- Female dogs in heat should not be brought to the park.
- Have your dog on a leash when entering and leaving the park.
- In Lake McKenzie Dog Park, make sure that only one gate is open at a time. Shut gates when entering and leaving the facility.
- Children should be supervised by a parent or guardian.
- Act responsibly. Use the park at your own risk.
TAKING DOGS TO OTHER PARKS
- Leash Law - All dogs are required to be on a leash in all city parks with the exception of Morad Park and Lake McKenzie Dog Park. Dogs are not allowed on baseball fields at any sports complex. Dogs are not allowed on the soccer playing fields during play.
- Events or festivals may choose to not allow pets. This is up to the event organizer. Dogs must be on a leash at events outside of Morad or Lake McKenzie Dog Parks.
- Scoop the Poop - When taking your dog to the park or walking them on streets or pathways, don't forget to bring a waste bag. Some parks have poop bag stations to help owners pick up. Even if there are no stations, pet owners are required by city ordinance to pick up after their pet.
