City Budget
The City of Casper operates on a fiscal year that begins on July 1 and ends on June 30 of the following year.
The City of Casper operates on a fiscal year budget that must be approved by the City Council before the beginning of each fiscal year. This adopted budget controls the amount of money that legally can be spent during the approved time period and serves as a guiding financial operating document during the fiscal year.
Proposed Budget for FY 2013

The City's Proposed FY 2013 Budget is now available. This document is the City Manager's recommendation on how to fund the city's vital services for the upcoming fiscal year (July 1, 2012 through June 30, 2013.)
This $141 million budget includes a $6 million reduction in spending from the budget that was adopted last year. Highlights of this budget include the addition of two firefighters and three police officers.
The City of Casper has a tradition of conservative budgeting. In keeping with that philosophy, revenues are expected to exceed expenses by $497,719 this year.
The budget is now being sent forth to the Casper City Council. The Council will review the budget at three upcoming meetings that are scheduled for 3:00 PM on May 29, 30, and 31, in the Council Meeting Room, Casper City Hall.
